Wesleyan University - MODERATELY OVERRATED

Wesleyan is moderately overrated, and even worse, it is sort of dishonest. Overall, it basically sucks.
1) It’s not actually a university. It’s really a “liberal arts college,” which sets off two red flags (liberal and arts) right away. Liberal arts colleges are sort of like Kumon or Sylvan Learning Center, except they cost 200 times as much and don’t actually teach anything of value.
2) Wesleyan is located in Middletown, Connecticut, which is one of the most depressing towns in the northeast.
3) Instead of having real dorms, half of the students at Wesleyan live in crappy houses that no one takes care of.
And, worst of all…
4) Wesleyan is the NYU of liberal arts colleges. It’s liberal and filled with annoying kids from New York and (even worse) Los Angeles, and is prestigious for unknown reasons.
On the positive side, Wesleyan is slightly prestigious and counts among its alumni Bobbito Garcia (the annoying announcer from NBA Street Vol. 2), one of the Wayans siblings, and a bunch of people that Wikipedia calls famous but I’ve never heard of. Here’s to you, Wesleyan!

LOL. Is that all you’ve got? It’s “the NYU of liberal arts colleges”? In other words, it’s the liberal arts college that most resembles one of the most exciting universities in the most exciting city in America, if not the world. I’m glad you explained how that’s supposed to be a perjorative.
Wow. You’re hilarious. I’m sure our graduate students would highly disagree that we’re “not actually a university,” only seniors and a few juniors live in the houses, most of which are actually very nice and I happen to be from Los Angeles. Dick.
I guess since the success of Stuff White People Like, every annoying person who thinks he or she is funny will write a blog ignorantly criticizing. Great job, Vince. Keep up the good work, and someday maybe you, too can be overrated.

Wesleyan sux!Period. Its way too expensive and it gives some petty scholarships to Asians but not to others which is a blatant discrimination in my view. Its after all one of the so called “Little Ivies” which gives them a undermining reputation nyway compared to the real Ivies. Students r good but r a bit overly rated and Wikipedia is obviously Wesleyan biased.
Wesleyan is for the Ivy League rejects and yes Wikipedia is their asskisser.
